Infants follow their own individual nap schedules. Your infant will eventually start following the toddler's regular nap schedule on their own time. Each toddler is provided with an individual cot for their rest period of up to two hours, and they are permitted to sleep, rest, or engage in quiet activities based on their individual needs.

We follow a positive child guidance model that includes recognizing why a child behaves in a certain way and encouraging children to regulate their behavior by giving them choices. When necessary, children are put on time out for as long as their age. However, time out does not start until the child is calm and sitting quietly.

We ask parents to provide disposable for their child. We maintain a small supply of diapers that can be used if your supply runs out.

We ask that parents provide formula and/or breast milk for their child. Please provide us with cans of formula or fresh/frozen breast milk, until your child is ready to begin eating regular food. Always label bottles and food containers with your child’s first and last name and the date. We’ll get your child's feeding schedule from you to maintain consistency with the feeding routine you’re establishing at home.

We’ll call you or a designated adult from your Emergency Information Form so that your child can be picked up as soon as possible from the daycare. While waiting to be picked up, your child will rest quietly, away from other children.

Our daycare and surrounding outdoor areas have cameras recording entries and exits that are saved on a cloud. Only individuals authorized by you are allowed to pick up your child from the daycare. All employees are required to have undergone background checks before employment.

All Colorful Little Butterflies staff must meet or exceed the state requirements for childcare providers and are required to receive ongoing professional training annually. We also require background checks through local, county, state, and/or federal agencies before employment. Our staff is also certified in first aid & CPR.

Only newborns, We never leave toddlers unattended and believe that they should be unrestricted because children can learn best when they can move around and explore their environment.

Your child begins the morning exploring the toys in the child-proof area. After breakfast, we begin our routine of circle time that leads into introducing themselves, counting exercises, singing days of the week and months of the year, dancing, and then reading and talking with your child. This helps nurture the child’s skill development: social, emotional, communication, fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive. Your infant will nap and feed consistent with the routines you’ve begun to establish at home.
